Quick review:
Jason and Cooper are best friends who have getaway from city life and head to a gorgeous mountain cabin. Jason has been bringing along his long-term boyfriend, Simon. Cooper brings whatever boy he's currently seeing. But those long weekends have fallen into a pattern and the three of them decide to shake the routine up by each inviting a single gay friend along. Jason invites an insecure young man from his office who has body issues. Cooper invites his nude yoga instructor. Ace, Cooper's boyfriend of this trip, invites along a college friend who doesn't believe Ace has fallen for a man in his 40s. And Simon really shakes things up by inviting along an escort, one who has served others who are in the cabin. Where this film is best is when it focuses on the issues of gay men reaching middle age. Jason and Cooper are both dealing it for different reasons. Cooper thinks Ace might be worth settling down with, but worries about their age difference. Jason worries that his relationship to Simon is falling apart. And both of them know that they are getting older. That tone keeps the film from sliding off into campy territory and gives it more heft than you might expect from the description.
