Quick review:
I love gay Thai films. Lots of melodrama, hot Asian guys and a dash of originality. What more could you want? Maek is a hired assassin dreaming of a better life for himself and his family. In the usual cliche plot, he just needs one more big job and then he can quit being a bad guy and be the good guy we all know he really is underneath, no matter how many dead bodies lay behind him. His next job is to kidnap a cute young man and bring him to the boss who hired him. His name is Iht and he's a police informant. Maek doesn't like the idea of killing a good guy, so he helps save Iht's life, even though he gets shot and nearly killed during the getaway. Iht, who is married, decides to stick around and nurse Maek back to health as repayment for saving his life. And, yes, there is plenty of chemistry there. Still, Maek pushes him away, over and over and over again. But finally we get the love scene we all knew was coming. But they have many enemies out to get them and few places to go. That's enough of roadblock to a potential relationship, but if you throw in Maek's refusal to let anyone inside and Iht's wife, and you have enough melodrama for any film fan. The ending will leave many disappointed, but it's true to its melodramatic genre.
